Yes, I've been single all my entire life in high school. Don't get me wrong! It is not because I was unwanted at that time but it was because of a promise i made to my mom when i was 5 years old. I remembered my mom was praying when i interrupted her with this promise, "Mom, I am not going to have any boyfriend until I've finished studying". She just giggled away while continuing on with her prayers.
I knew my mom has forgotten about this little promise over the time but it was still fresh in my mind. That's why I was determined not to accept any dates during my high school. While most of my friends were happily dating and talking about their boyfriends, I would spent my time with my best friends and families. Tho' there were some lonely times when I had desired to have someone to pamper me and love me, but promise made is a promise kept. Blessed for me that I have a bunch of best friends to lessen my lonely times. Being single wasn't that hard after all!
However the desire to have someone to love me grew stronger after I left high school. How I dreaded to be in someone's arm! And how i wished at that time that I would know some friendly singles or perhaps American singles available out there.
